I have never seen that with WDSC, but I have seen it with Client Access.

Do you by chance have any VPN software installed on your system? We have
had problems with laptops that have our Cisco VPN client installed. When
they are on our local network and not using the VPN, their 5250 sessions
would disconnect after only a couple of minutes of inactivity. We finally
tracked it down to the VPN software and found that stopping the Windows
service it installs fix the problem. So we changed the service to start
manually and taught the users how to start the service before connecting
to the VPN.

I am not sure but I think this problem might also be with XP and the VPN.

Just a thought.

Is anybody else getting the constant time-out problems with the host
server
jobs that I'm experiencing? This is happening with two different systems
with completely different configs - one is at V5R1 and the other V5R2.

Both CODE and RSE appear to time out and issue an error - but then if you
try again it connects successfully. Sometimes RSE issues the "cannot
re-establish ..." message and then goes ahead and does it anyway! But I'm
always left a little unsure as to whether it does _everything_ !!
