I usually drag from Windows Explorer to the 5.0 IDE.  I also just drag the
web.xml and overlay it.

I assume that you are dragging the 4.0 files to the 5.0 files by using
Windows explorer and dragging between the workspace directories, not
between
the 2 IDE's?
Are you then adding the Servlets to the web.xml manually?
