I haven't had any issues with SVN and Nuget. I think subversion is awesome for the price (free). Collabnet Subversion Edge and AnhkSVN Visual Studio plugin is what we use and it's been seemless for us at our shop.

Just wish we could use it with RDP, but we have a third party product on the IBM i (APlus) that wouldn't work if we stored the source members on a different box and wanted to recompile using APlus.
