In talking with the web developer (maybe web master?) we kind of came to
the same conclusion. Why rely on something else that can cause us
headaches. We already have had several headaches with subversion and will
be migrating off of that in the coming months.

I don't know as I would recommend one logger over another. I have used
log4j, but when it came time to look at logging for .NET, I just
started using what was in the .NET Framework.
My thinking is that there is one less non-Framework DLL to distribute,
manage, update, etc.
It looks like most of the logging frameworks offer similar features,
so if you're very much accustomed to one, it may not make sense to
change to another.

We've been using one called BitFactory for several years and my guys
are pushing to use the Framework logging.
