Are you aware of clickOnce deployment with .NET? It just seems that an
ASP.NET intranet app is overkill.

Anyway. I would recommend first coding the app with Widnows Forms and
then porting the code over. This way you're tackling your db and asp
bugs separately.

Yes, it does need to be a web app. It's going on our intranet, not
installed on the users pcs.

which is much simpler...
