Hi Neil We had this problem some time back after an MBO. It's very definitely not straightforward and needed much SQLing of files. Get Geac, JBA, whoever, to do it. It cost us about 6K. As they're then responsible for any, ahem, problems that might ensue, it's well worth the money. We were lucky and didn't meet any real problems after the change. The only inconvenience is we're now in FY 2007! David Dewick IT Manager Darcast Crankshafts Limited -----Original Message----- From: system21-bounces+david.dewick=darcast.co.uk@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:system21-bounces+david.dewick=darcast.co.uk@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Neil Thursby Sent: 04 July 2006 13:02 To: System 21 Users Subject: [SYSTEM21] Year end change in Financial modules We are moving our year-end, which will mean going from period 06/04 to 07/01. I'd planned to do this by running each period end in turn for 06, then doing a year-end, but I'm not entirely sure how to fiddle the GL calendar file to suit. Another thought I had was to set the GL company profile to 4 periods, run the year end then set it back to 12 periods. Has anyone ever tried this, does it impact history at all? Thanks in advance, Neil. _____________________________________________________________________ This transmission and any attachments are confidential and are intended solely for the named addressee (s).
