All of our calendars are set up thru the end of 2004. (We only plan 6 months ahead, so won't need to add 2005 till the end of June) This is the ONLY part that this is happening to. The end date for this part is 04/27/04, everything else ends on 11/23/04. (hmmmmm, that seems like more than 6 months to me, I'll have to check on that) We have found that this part shows a 70 day lead time, while all our other parts have 0 lead time. We're going to change that to 0, re-run MPS/MRP and see what happens. I'll let the list know the results. At least it is for us at V3.5.1. I'm surprised it's only one part that is giving you the symptom though... So I'm not 100% convinced... Do you have any other parts scheduled out past this part...? What is the End Date on the MPS/MRP screen when you run it...? Just humor me and examine your Inventory calendar and your manufacturing calendar and make sure they are set up at least through 2005... You always want to have 2 years of future calendar dates set up in all the apps... Vendor scheduling also exhibits this symptom when the schedule horizon exceeds the available calendar dates... Let me know... Thanks. ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Grinstead, Scott" <SAGrinstead@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Reply-To: System 21 Users <system21@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "'System 21 Users'" <system21@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: RE: [SYSTEM21] Planning stops in MRP/MPS Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 10:40:01 -0500 Verify that the bill/route has not been affectively ended (if it is an assembled item then this mean checking both the route that is used to produce the item and the route where the item is consumed). Also make sure on the item master that it also has have an item end date assigned. I am assuming that the production master detail hasn't been changed to something that would prevent it from being planned. One way to do this would be to assigned the item as a forecast only item and not have a forecast entered.
