I suggest you take the RPG III program and convert it to RPGLE by using the
command CVTRPGSRC.

Does the compiler then refuse to define the field to the program...?
Severity 00 should not be a problem...
I'm not sure what you're trying to do here...
Does RPGIII support the Date Data-type...? Is that the real question we
need to ask...?

Is this a new program you're trying to write over files with ISO Date-Type
data fields...?
There must be some RPG gurus out there that can give us the definitive on
this one...

I think the real answer may be that you need to update your compiler...

Thanks.

Help!

Is there any way I can convert/access an ISO date field within an RPG III
program - the RPG III compiler is simply ignoring the field with message:
QRG7151 Severity 00 The record format contains DATE/TIME/TIMSTAMP
fields.........ignored.

One for you maybe Jeff!!

Glen
