You may also have warranty issues if you don't have IBM do it...
Call them and see what the obligations are wrt the warranty...
1-800-ibm-serv in the states...

Since you said you have a "lift" I can olny assume you are not in the 
states...  We have elevators over here...  ;)

On a more serious note, there are (in the U.S.) organizations that 
specialize
in moving data centers/computers. You may want to look into this option.
