If the MONMSG command gets tripped, use this command CHKTAP DEV(device name) ENDOPT(*UNLOAD). This should unolad the tape and grab the next one. >>> aheffner@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 02/20/03 12:59PM >>> We do an unattended backup nightly using SAVLIB(*ALLUSR) to a 3570 Magstar tape drive. Every once in a while we get error message CPF5349 Media error on volume tapnn on device TAP02. Since we MONMSG CPF0000 this ends our backup. I would like to be able to monitor for CPF5349, unload the bad tape and continue on with the backup using the next tape in the library. Anyone have a great idea how to accomplish this?
