I would recommend that you update to at least V3.5.2 SP2 if possible. Jeff is correct in that you don't want to update PO's in Purchase management. It will cause future problems with Vendor Scheduling creating or ammending lines. One thing we did to our system was to make the PO number match the contract number, so, you don't have to know the contract number to get to the PO number or vice-versa. The program to modify is VS203 in the routine where it retrieves the next PO number. Other problems encounterred are proper setup of the stockroom details record to make sure it is a vendor scheduling item. Also, make sure your MPS/MRP library lists have OSLVSD3 and OSLVSP3 in the library list. If you don't MPS/MRP won't know about vendor schedules and they must. Enjoy. -----Original Message----- From: Jeff_Klipa/Harvard@harvardind.com [mailto:Jeff_Klipa/Harvard@harvardind.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 16, 2002 9:21 AM To: jbausers-l@midrange.com Subject: [SYS21] Vendor Scheduling Question... We're at V3.5.1... I seem to recall there are some pitfalls to using Vendor Scheduling... One of which is that you should not amend any PO's created with VS because it does not update the contract... Is this the only reason and are there any other pitfalls on which anyone would like to elaborate...? Thanks. _______________________________________________ This is the GEAC/JBA System 21 Users (JBAUSERS-L) mailing list To post a message email: JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/jbausers-l or email: JBAUSERS-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/jbausers-l.
