Garry,

Another option is to consider using a 3 month "short" year.  If you are
using Financial Manager, simply change your Y-T-D values to include the
prior 12 month year.  Other reporting packages can be similarly modified.

Your year number will not coincide with the calendar, but , it is only a
number.
