We are struggling with a very similar problem at this time and are brainstorming
our options as well...
Our new owners want us to change from our current fiscal year starting October
1, to a fiscal year starting January 1.
That means we will have 3 months already accumulated in fiscal 2003 when January
1 rolls around.
They want to cut over on January 1, 2003 and make that period 1 of 2003
(103001)...!!!
One idea we had was to create completely new company numbers and switch
everything over on 1/1/03 to use the new company numbers...
No matter what solution we conjure up the historical comparison reporting is
going to be unusable.
I have not thought of a better solution yet, so I'm open for ANY ideas, no
matter how wild...
Thanks...
