If you ask me a buyer has no business to issue or transfer stock and further more make stock adjustments unless buyers in your company do multi tasking. At Wasserstrom the buyers tasks are to Order, make requisition and expedite purchase orders, they have no authority to get into /INP. We have an Inventory control specialist at every location who is the only one that has access to this menu apart from IS. Ram S. Since your mail reader does not understand this format, some or all of this message may not be legible. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Hi all, Recently our company's buyer asked me for permissions to access the /INP menus. My knowledge of any contraindications for this are limited. However I know that the former MIS manager seemed to have very specific opinions about who should be allowed to go where in terms of potential business conflicts of interests. Unfortunately I was only here for three or so days before she left and we did not have time to discuss in-depth aspects of System 21 other than a few AS/400 commands. >From my vantage I do not see any problems but if that were the case wouldn't the buyer already have access? I hate to tell her "no" for no better reason than, "There must've be a reason the former MIS mgr didn't want you in there." Anyway, your opinion is always appreciated.
