Neil, Unless I'm sorely mistaken, running the CLNUSRALC command on a regular basis should keep the record count in this file low... The CLNUSRALC command works in conjunction with program ICF710... Running this command will also clean up the user seats that are allocated in the file ICF03PHY... If you ever get an error message saying that you have consumed all available seats (or something like that - I don't recall the exact message...) running the CLNUSRALC could clean up some bogus allocations for jobs that ended abnormally... This is very similar to the XA705 program that verifies allocations in APG02PHY for exclusivity locking... Give CLNUSRALC a try and see if that doesn't reduce the number of records in ICF04PHY, and let me know how it works out... Thanks. neil.thursby@sterling-systems.co.uk on 02/18/2002 11:57:59 AM Please respond to jbausers-l@midrange.com To: JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com cc: (bcc: Jeff Klipa/Harvard) Subject SYS21 - Purging ICF04PHY : Hi, I'm looking at file sizes, and see our ICF04 has 600,000 records in it. Anyone know if it's safe to SQL-out all before a certain date? Thanks, Neil. _______________________________________________ This is the GEAC/JBA System 21 Users (JBAUSERS-L) mailing list To post a message email: JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/jbausers-l or email: JBAUSERS-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/jbausers-l.
