Solve - No.

It is difficult to know for sure what the impact was of changing the access
path size. We think it helped our financial users, especially in the
posting of A/R batches. We also reorganized PF's that day. Prior to
Thanksgiving, our AR users were waiting for 10 minutes or more between
posting a check and being able to get back into the same customer to post
another check. Since that day, they have not experienced the long wait
times while posting batches.

Did your work with access path size over Thanksgiving solve your
performance
problem?

I am not sure what you mean by OBJECTS.
We have experienced a serious impact on performance.
IBM recommended some performance PTF's plus changing the access path size
on LF's and PF's from 4GB to 1TB.
We installed the PTF's but have not really noticed any improvement.
We will be changing the access path size on Thanksgiving day.
Prompt on the CHGPF and CHGLF commands for more explanation of ACCPTHSIZ.

Has anyone installed V4R5 and are having slow response time with OBJECTS?
As
always your input is appreciated and very valuable.
