Unfortunately, when JBA deletes an item it really deletes it - from all master files. If you delete only the stockroom details record(s), you still retain the item master BUT it will still check all types of files for reference to that item and stockroom combination. If any exist it may or may not allow deletion, depending upon the setting in an Inventory Descriptions file record, but will delete all transaction references, such as Inventory Movements if you do delete the stockroom record. Among the files checked are (this is from memory but I think it is pretty complete): MSP20 BOM Header (parent) MSP28 BOM Components MSP40 WO Header (parent) MSP42 WO Components PDP46 Operation Outputs INP95 Inven Movements INP60 Stockroom Details PMP17 Requisitions PDP26 Operation Outputs PMP03 PO Lines When you run the utility for item deletion, it does print a listing indicating why a flagged item is not deletable if that is the case. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Carmel.Kelly@olympus.ie> To: <JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com> Sent: Monday, December 11, 2000 11:14 AM Subject: Flagging Items for Deletion > Hello everyone! > We are running 3.5.2b - extended Manufacturing.
