Flagging Items for Deletion -- SYSTEM21

× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Hello everyone!
We are running 3.5.2b - extended Manufacturing. My problem is that we need
to flag Items for deletion, so that further processing is prohibited for
Sales Orders,  Work Orders etc. However we want to retain the history for
transactions related to these Items.

Is this possible?  I know Work Orders etc can be archived - but how do we
flag for deletion and prevent processing until the deletion is actually
carried out? And is the historry lost once deleted?
