Kevin To provide ship and cancel capability for Gerber Childrenswear, we have modified the way the No back orders flag is handled in allocations and confirm dispath. In allocations we prevent allocation if the order has an outstanding picknote. In confirm dispatch we modified the program to cancel the order and all remaining lines when the pick ticket is shipped. Basically, the "cancellation" code must be removed from AP320 and added to the step were you want the cancellation to take place. In our environment, we put it in Confirmation of Dispatch. We are on Style v 3.5.2.b.sp1. When we enter a customer order with the back order code set to 0 (no backorders), the system will attempt to allocate the order one time and if not enough inventory has been allocated to meet the 60% initial fill rate, the order sits in limbo until some manual action is taken on it (e.g. lower the % or manual allocation). Our initial understanding was that the order would continue to allocate until the first shipment and then have the remainder of the order be cancelled during confirmation of dispatch. The helpline has since informed us that the backorder processing happens during allocation (yuck)...If the order doesn't allocate and ship on the first pass, batch allocation will not look at the order again. Is there a workaround or is it a modification???
