Hi group, I'm using JBA V352b Service Pack 2 No modifications. I have a scenario to which I would be greatful for any suggestions on how to handle it. I receive in orders from my customers for configured items, to be supplied as soon as possible, i create a works order for the item, manufacture and ship it, Invoice the customer and all is fine, As the orders i receive are normally only for one or two items at a time and as they are required immediatly they go into the system with todays due date, hence tomorrow they are 'late', this also if fine, I also have orders keyed into the system with 'future' dates, these i treat as f/casts and i use them to plan my materials, these orders will never be released as they are not real. Now the problem ! some of my larger customers are now giving me purchase orders for lots of the same item, but want them supplied over a period of time, not all together, if i put these orders in with a due date of today then my 'overdue' work is not realistic and the planning/materials dept would have a stroke, and if i schedule them out using the required due dates then the orders get mixed in with the 'dummy' orders that are in the system for f/casts. I need to be able to identify the 'real' sales orders from the ones i am using for f/casting and would idealy like to be able to run MPS/MRP to only include the 'real' orders sometimes. Any ideas ? Cheers. K. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
