Since this topic has been opened, we also have a need in this area which I would like to see if anyone has already addressed. Since we are using automated shipping labels (Varsity Logistics), we want to be sure only one despatch note (pick note, order# + despatch note sequence#) is put on each warehouse pick list (we print shipping labels in advance in the same sequence as our pick list). We tried handling this by modifying the warehouse programs to create a separate picklist for each despatch note, but it was getting fairly complicated. We considered something where OE340/341 would make sure there weren't any outstanding despatch notes before creating another one. Has anyone come up with a solution to this problem? We would like to have an error window pop up when a user tries to create the 100th pick note that stops the user. The user would then have to cancel the balance of the order and create a new sales order in advanced order entry with the balance of unshipped items. This seems to occur with menu 2/OER (program OE340/OE340P) We have customers who place a blanket order and then requests shipments against that blanket order. It sometimes does not take long before the pick notes exceed 99. We have written a program that queries files and creates a report of pick notes to open orders approaching the 99 limit, however we have learned that frequently this is not run. If someone has a solution to how they are successfully handling this issue, or have code that fixes this that they would be willing to share, I would love to hear from you.
