Monica, Yes, we did something similar to what you are describing for a client last year. We were using schedules and not work orders. We ran into what I have termed the "WIP shipper quantity conversion error" JBA log#74484 this was logged back in March of 1999. Last I heard this would be fixed in Version 3.6 ( don't know if that is still true). As with most customers this answer was unacceptable and our programming staff spent a good deal of time re-writing and correcting the code in error. We still have not seen a fix from GEAC, this client is now on V3.5.2b sp 2. You may email me for more information linw@rwainc.com Good Luck, Lin Walsh -----Original Message----- From: Monica.Moloney@olympus.ie [SMTP:Monica.Moloney@olympus.ie] Sent: Thursday, August 17, 2000 10:27 AM To: JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com Subject: Subcontractors Hi all, Does anyone use the Subcontractor module (/MKS), and I would like to know of your experience's with it. We need to be able to : Set up a work order, we will perform the first and second operation say, ie print and send all packaging, and then we need to send them out to a subcontractor, who will fill and pack the product, and then send the product back to us in Kits(packs of 6), ie we will send out 6,000 labels, and they will send us back 990 kits. To save costs, we normally send out 20,000 labels at a time, Can the Subcontractor module take care of this ?
