I used to work with it at a previous company (V2.something)...
There were quite a few functional weaknesses with the product.
Also because the module is so poorly coded (ie. impossible to
understand; loads of complex array handling etc), it is very
very difficult to modify the core.....

The biggest weakness is that it is not real-time. Overnight processes
have to be setup to pull in all the setup details and details
from other modules. This caused major issues especially in the
pricing area. There are ad-hoc processes that can be run but
its not brilliant......takes a long time and users have to be
off the system.

JBA had thought of re-writing this module a few years back when
they were going to merge/ modularise AO/ OE/ TS/ OEI.......but
I'm not sure what happened.

It has the usual strengths ie. modular; easy to use; extracts
info from other apps..........but nothing really stands out as
a good strength!
