Well, I was surprised to read in the Midrange article that Harry Debes
actually said that existing customers may be able to get their Source Code
but it's going to cost them...  I am not quoting exactly here, but that is
the gist of it...

This is the closest thing I've heard to any movement in their position...

I know that Geac is monitoring this forum.  I am however surprised that
they are not taking some kind (any kind) of action.  I am sure that Geac is
hoping this will settle down and go away but it should be obvious that it
is not going just disappear and their installed base is not happy.  If they
are counting on 70% of their revenue coming from their install base (road
show statistic) they better have a contingency plan!  I just do not see
this happening.
The Great Lakes region has always been strong.  Unless they are willing to
wait it out and rebuild their new base in the Geac image they had better
come up with a better plan than just hiding!
