We have been on JBA since January 1996. We are currently on 3.5.2b in two sites operating on two AS/400's, i.e. two complete instances of JBA. One of the facilities runs two plants out of the same AS/400. We use Advanced Order Entry (heavily modified), Manufacturing (minimally modified), Warehousing (very few mods), Transport Planning (vanilla, but not used all that much), and World Trade (actually V2 ported to run under V3, heavily modified to support SPEX). We have source code through our current version and have no intention of continuing with JBA to any future releases as things now stand. We are VERY knowledgeable about the system since we have done many mods and a wide variety of custom reports. We have heavily used JBA's old IPG based report generator, doing things that we think were probably never envisioned but seem to work pretty well. We would never consider continuing with JBA without source code. We probably won't continue with JBA in any event. We have JBA ported to Baan financials, probably unique, as the rest of our division is on Baan. Our current game plan would have us move to Baan ERP, aka Baan 5, over the next couple of years. We will really miss the product structure architecture in JBA, but we will welcome an order entry module we will be able to use with much fewer modifications.
