Change the class QPWFSERVER in QSYS - this has a run priority of 20 by
default, so ODBC jobs can quickly suck up all the resources available.  I'd
certainly change this to 50 (ie the same as batch) if you have interactive
users on your box.  On my system, it runs at priority 70.
I'd also be tempted to change the timeslice  - i think it defaults to 3000
(ie 3 sec).  Most timeslices are set from the old CISC machines, and are way
out of whack with current technology.  Many people recommend reducing all
the timeslices by a factor of 10, but you'll need to play around depending
on your needs.
