Hello,

*DS3 (and its sibling CAPITAL FIELD LABELS) *looks* old-fashioned: it shrieks "legacy" and is digital fingernails on an electronic chalkboard.
A very pictured description. I almost get goose bumps! :-D
Figuring out how to mix *DS3 and *DS4 is, IMO, the wrong problem to solve (unless you're stuck with a 3rd party app).
I only partly agree.
If you have a *DS3 screen with only a few elements, those will look even more "lost" on the increased area of *DS4. This is naturally a question of esthetics and personal taste.
How practical mixing *DS3 and *DS4 can be, is also a question of the terminal or emulator being used. Automatically resizing emulator windows can be annoying. And like my 3486, despite it not supporting *DS4. ;-)
But admit, all in all, it's yammering on a high level.
:wq! PoC
