Not really surprising. The precompiler is (has been?) rather dumb. In
V4R5, the compiler is not even subroutine-aware. If try to exec an SQL
being declared later in the program in e. G. *INZSR, the compiler will
throw error that the SQL has not been declared.
Also, if you adhere to the well established positional RPG's order of
specifications, your error could not have happened. :-)
