if you put your sql precompile options above your workstn f-spec you get
this issue...
if you put it below, it is fine

Isn't there is a compile option that does additional pre-compiler
expansion of the source. Something like LEVEL1 or LEVEL2. Prompt
--command, don't have access now to try it.
