Hello Jerry,

Am 05.06.2024 um 12:31 schrieb Jerry Adams <midrange@xxxxxxxx>:

I received an email this morning titled "RPG IV Question". Said they had a question and wanted me to open the attached file (ostensibly a PDF).

Same here.

Well, obviously a scam or, worse, an infection.

Plus a very questionable email address, no real name provided.

I politely answered, indicating my refusal to trust the source and my decision to not open the PDF. And got no response so far. No bounce, no answer.

Caution is better than regret when fighting with Malware spreading.

My educated guess is that they got my email address by perusing our list. Just thought that, if true, you might be on your guard.

I remember that the very same sender has written publicly in at least one of the Midrange-Lists not too long ago. Because I prune uninteresting/irrelevant messages from my local email folders, I have no copy left.

:wq! PoC
