As Glenn suggested, look at the compiler listing for the specific reason. Hint: How is the sub-procedure called SubprogramA bound to DRIVERPRG?

If you trim your job log, it would be helpful to include the failing command (CRTxxxPGM) and the messages that directly follow it.

As an aside, chgjob log(0 0 *nolist) tends to stop useful messages from getting into the job log. As a beginner, try log(4 0 *seclvl) to get the maximum amount of information possible.
