Hi Tim

Have you looked at the IBM i Knowledge Center site yet - there are separate ones for each release. There is a search that could get you to FTP - there is not a separate manual, if I remember right, but there are TCP/IP applications together in a section of the site - in many sections there are links to PDF manuals.

That's how many of us find much of what we say in these emails. SFTP is probably in separate documentation and might be the general docs for it on any platform

Hate to say it, but I think you've thrown together a mess of topics here - FTP vs SFTP vs CPYFRMSTMF vs source members - oy! I'm not good enough to address all of that, man!

But look up SFTP in Google and you'll find it is different from FTP, as I recall.

Hi,

Could someone please share IBM's standard manual to FTP from local desktop
to IBM i and in reverse order and SFTP as well ?( which has sequential
steps to do so)

I have a stream file on IFS path but when trying to use CPYFRMSTMF command
to copy the text file in to ibm i's source member then getting various
errors:-

So how to correctly use this command to copy stream file's (text member) to
respective source file and library's source member?

Thanks
