There are two types of binary in RPGIV. Integer and Unsigned Integer.

For a 4 byte integer they would be defined as Int(10) or Uns(10) depending on which you need.

For historic reasons the size used represents the number of decimal digits needed to accommodate a *HiVal in the field. You can see the various sizes and the way they map to the number of bytes here: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.5?topic=keywords-intdigits <https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.5?topic=keywords-intdigits>

I need help with coding this in a d-spec.

How does once do it on the d-spec and is there a simple way to translate a
binary size to a numeric size?

TIA
