I've seen installations (more than once), where you couldn't be sure that a compile of all objects would work on any system. Even worse if it worked, but the objects didn't match. Caused by changed Binding directories (the reason why I don't like this), overrides for compiles, changed command defaults during history, change of libls etc. I would think about pulling off the create commands from the objects at compiletime or some repository - maybe there is already a sql service.
H- specs and set option is better than nothing or chgcmddft, but its only a subset of real life.
