How are you using *DATE? Sounds like it's being used during
initialization of a global variable...

explicitly setting a variable should pick up the changed job date..
myVar = %date(*DATE);

Has anyone noticed this:

I have a program that uses a service program. That service program uses
*DATE.

When I change the job date to [for example] 12/21/2019, the service
program gets that date as its *DATE value.

Then, when the program ends, I change the job date again, using CHGJOB
DATE(122819).

When I run the program a second time, the service program is still getting
12/21/19 as its *DATE value. Is that normal? Shouldn't it get the new
12/28/19 date instead?

We are on V7R3 with the latest PTFs.

Thank you,

Doug
