Maybe compile with ACTGRP(*NEW)
This way you will have a new instance in a new activation group and consequently a refresh of the job date
That could raise other issues though especially if the SP is called from an interactive job

I wanted to specifically get the job date, and %date is the system date. I was testing a job interactively [it normally runs in QBATCH] and was wondering why it was not getting the correct job date. But when I signed off and back on, it did, since it reinitialized.
Is there a way to force an active service program to "reset" its job date value other than reclaiming the activation group?
