*DATE is set for the currency of an invocation - if you want to ensure that you get the current date you use %Date instead.

My guess is that the SP has remained active (i.e. the AG was not reclaimed) and so the initially loaded date will persist.

Has anyone noticed this:

I have a program that uses a service program. That service program uses

When I change the job date to [for example] 12/21/2019, the service
program gets that date as its *DATE value.

Then, when the program ends, I change the job date again, using CHGJOB

When I run the program a second time, the service program is still getting
12/21/19 as its *DATE value. Is that normal? Shouldn't it get the new
12/28/19 date instead?

We are on V7R3 with the latest PTFs.

Thank you,
