IBM i is a "database in a box".
Not learning SQL is silly.
IBM i is progressing rapidly into the early 21st century in part due to the
availability of Python, which makes many mission critical tasks esp. w/r/t
TCP/IP and HTTP, immensely simpler than before.
Not learning Python is silly.
Insisting SQL is a fluent general purpose language is silly, it's not,
Python is that and SQL is clumsy used that way.
Arguing about "Which of the mission critical languages is better" is silly.
SQL is indispensable. Python has earned that niche as well.
If the platform is to continue into the 2030's our community should be ...
LESS SILLY about such things!! :)
