Something along these lines?

Dcl-F MyFile Disk Usage(*Output:*Delete) RecNo(RRNVar);
Dcl-S RRNVar Int(5);

// Build new record to add
RRNVar = 10;
Write DepartFmt; // Record overwrites RRN 10
