Allocate? Thought that was solely to control the size and the "File full"
message; DSPFD shows zero records but an allocated size. INZPFM puts
records in the file.

You can "allocate" a file with unique keys because there are no records in
it (not even deleted records). You can't INZPFM a file with unique keys.

Hi,

I was wondering if there's a method to write a record at specific RRN
in a file.

The RRN will not exist yet, so for example I have a file with RRN 1, 2
and 3... and I want to write RRN 10.

Kind regards,
Paul
