sorry, that was my latest iteration of the SQL,
this is what I found in examples in run sql scripts:

select activation_group, count(*) as activation_group_name_count
from qsys2.program_info
where program_library = 'xxxxxxxx'
and program_type = 'ILE'
group by activation_group
order by 2 desc;

a.program_name = b.OBJNAME

Hi Gerald -- Did you do this with an sql statement you'd like to share,
perhaps?

John

I ran a SQL that lists out a count of ILE programs by activation group:
*DFTACTGRP 2212 programs
*CALLER 1398 programs
QILE 567 programs
KNAPACTGRP 18 programs
CALLER 2 programs
