is there a condition where this _ever_ true:
"compiling the RPGLE program with actgrp(*CALLER) will allow the overrides
to work"
scanning our source, all of our CL's don't all have the proper scope parms
set.
but that may only denote that those CL's without proper scope are calling
OPM programs.

So summarizing program info, I have 2209 "ILE" programs showing an
actgrp of *DFTACTGRP.
are these by definition programs that were compiled with CRTBNDXXX
DFTACTGRP(*YES) ?

Funny you should say that John.

The original had them - it was only when I read it last night before
posting that I noticed that when the Authory tool had grabbed it they got
lost. No idea why - I'll ask the site owners.

It is on my to-do list to go back and clean it up.

I suggest you read our "7 Deadly Sins" article and see how many you
are committing. I'm proud to say (and a little sad at the same time) that
this article is now used as IBM's primary resource reference for Activation
Group and ILE problems! If nothing else it will tell you _why_ some things
are not a good idea. You can find it here;

It's a good resource, well worth the read. But I have to say, the lack
of apostrophes is a bit distracting.

I would be willing to go through and add them, if it's something that
you would post.
