In the shell you can always do
* /usr/bin/iconv -f IBM-037 -t ISO8859-2 myfile.txt >myfile_converted.txt*
or whatever,
*/usr/bin/iconv -l*
to see the supported char sets. Of course this sort of thing is scriptable,
schedule-able, etc.
