Nathan is correct - the only way would be to list all possible names. Given that these are currencies that is a finite list.

Another options would be to modify the YAJLINTO parser to be specific for this situation and have it return 2 different fields for each of these. The first called quoteCurrency (or something) containing the actual name, and the second called quoteValue containing the actual exchange rate.

Probably the easiest, given that this JSON is pretty simple, would be to use YAJL directly and simply extract the values yourself.

only works if i know the qualified field name (usdeur for example).

That's right. DATA-INTO is designed to map name-value pairs to RPG data
structures and their subfields based on data structure and subfield names
that are known at run time.

Can i use this techique to read this json into my ds?

Can you define a data structure containing the names of all possible
subfields. I think that if a subfield name is not found in the JSON stream,
the value will be left alone by DATA-INTO.

Otherwise, you could use YAJL_GET_STRING() rather than DATA-INTO.
