I second the idea of abandoning "position-to" in favor of "filter-by" and
"order-by"

I've never had a user ask for "position-to" to be brought back once they
started using the power of "filter-by" and "order-by"

Same her, except I abandoned "position-to" a long time ago. SQL's "like"
allows filtering and as a result users can filter by partial names, zip
codes, etc. As a result drill-downs are easy to do and we can abandon
the crammed-fill screens in favor of small panels that flow the way
users use them.

I have been doing single page subfiles with roll up and roll down, Load

write an article or something detailing the technique.
