Nicely done. The only thing in that blog that was not in yours was a
"position-to" field.
It's interesting how one's expectations change after being exposed to so
many web applications. If I compare what you've done to the similar
green-screen app, it's great! But in spite of that, there is this
expectation that because it is in a web browser, it will act like other
web applications. For example, I found my self uselessly spinning the
wheel on my mouse expecting it to page up/down. Or pressing "B",
expecting it to jump to the first record whose Name starts with a "B".
That leads to a feeling that it's lacking, even though it provides the
same functionality as the green screen version. And I think that's
something to be aware of when moving a green screen app to the web.

In regard to scroll bars or any other element or any other type of
navigation or any other feature pertaining to a UI, I too might ask why
not? Doesn't it come down to what you're trying to achieve? With browser
user interfaces, you have so many options. In that particular
was trying to mimic behavior delineated in the following blog:http://www.rpglk.com/2016/11/how-to-create-subfile-without-native-io.html

I like it. Simple. Clear. Easy to implement, and a great dashboard
item for an IFS web page.
A passing comment: "VCR-style buttons are used to implement page
navigation." .... why not a scroll bar?
