This is some old code where we stored program names in a field in a file.
EXITPGFT is the field in the record retrieved.
EVFTEXPG is the prototype used for calling whatever program name is stored in EXITPGFT.
D EVFTEXPG pr extpgm(EXITPGFT)
D* Call an Event Features Exit Program
D #TRDS like(TRDS)
D @JSON 1024a
D @RTNC 2a
--------------------------------------------------------------------
later we use the above like this which calls the program and checks the return code.
IF EXITPGFT <> *blanks;
EVFTEXPG( #TRDS : @JSON : @RTNC );
i_extraData = iif( @RTNC='00' : @JSON : i_extraData );
leave;
ENDIF;

I'm calling a program like this:

D WHSAUD5R PR EXTPGM('WHSAUD5R')
D Trgbuffer LIKEDS(Trginfo)
D Trgbufferlen 10I 0
d wkProgram 10a
WHSAUD5R(trgBuffer:trgBufferLen:wkProgram);

I want to retrieve the program name WHSAUD5R from a code table instead.
How can I call whatever program I want here? I will always pass the same
parameters.

Thank you.
