BTW... If you're using the 128B or 128C character sets, you can use the "shift" capability to jump into the 128A character set for the CR/LF and then "shift" back to the original character set.

It's been a lot of years so I had to refresh my memory as I recalled that the character set is different for 128.  Yes, 128A supports CR/LF but does not use the values you are supplying.

77/74 are equivalent to CR/LF in 128A

Subject: Code128 CR/LF

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I am attempting to code a carriage return and line feed into a code128 barcode. My code looks like this:

d cr              c                   const(X'0D')

d lf               c                   const(X'25')

dimen2 = pwd + cr + lf + dimen1;

Print file:

A            DIMEN2        30A        1

A                                      BARCODE(CODE128 2 *NOHRI (*WIDTH .-

A                                      007))

Scan results using a Unitech AS10-U scanner:

**********   10.219”
