No definitive answer, but a few things to consider...

1) Rather than DBU, what does "select * from aeplaltsiz" show? I imagine same as DBU, but it's worth checking.

2) All the fields in the file are defined a zoned, Which has a sign in the left nibble if the rightmost byte. I'm wondering where the source data is coming from and how it is signed. Note that the field that appears to be correct has some calculations done on it, so maybe that is straightening out the sign on that field.

3) I know some folks like using zoned because the data is displayed easily in DSPFFM (?) but I've always used packed, which works faster and uses less disk space. What happens if you change the file fields to packed?
