I used 7-zip... it opened the archive fine and I was able to drill down to the files enclosed and open them with notepad. There's really not that much more than what's explained in the tutorial, but it is a working example of the technique.

As far as the ENTRY statement, IIRC, that's only used to establish an address in order to provide the linkage between the modules... it doesn't make the resultant object a standalone executable.

Couldn't open that .tar.gz download, but I went to the site and found a tutorial that explained the process.


It says I have to code an ENTRY statement for the field pointed to by the ULABL. But, an ENTRY defines an executable entry point. So, seems strange, but I guess that is a hack to establish the addressibility needed. I'll give it a try. Thanks.
